Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using the reCore platform ("Service"), operated by Replugit ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

"You" refers to the individual or organization that registers for an account. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Service description

reCore is an IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) platform that provides hardware diagnostics, certified data wiping, cosmetic grading, compliance reporting, and device lifecycle management. The Service is provided as a cloud-hosted SaaS application with client software installed on processing stations.

3. Accounts and access

You must register for an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

Each account represents a single organization (tenant). All data within an account is isolated from other accounts. You may create multiple user accounts (technicians, administrators) within your organization.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Access to device processing features requires an active paid subscription. Subscription plans include a monthly allocation of operations (diagnostic sessions and drive wipes). Usage beyond the included allocation is billed at the overage rate specified in your plan.

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice. Price changes do not apply to the current billing period.

5. Your data

You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service, including device records, test results, wipe certificates, and organizational information. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data.

You may export your data at any time through the platform's reporting and export features. Upon account termination, we will retain your data for 90 days to allow retrieval, after which it will be permanently deleted.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems; (c) interfere with or disrupt the Service; (d) reverse-engineer the client software except as permitted by law; (e) resell or redistribute access to the Service without authorization.

7. Compliance and certificates

Data destruction certificates generated by reCore are based on the information provided by the client software and the wipe methods configured by your technicians. reCore documents the sanitization process as performed -- it does not independently verify the physical destruction of data beyond software-level verification.

You are responsible for ensuring that your data destruction processes meet the regulatory requirements applicable to your organization and clients. reCore provides tooling that supports compliance with standards like NIST SP 800-88 Rev 2, but compliance ultimately depends on your operational procedures.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if your subscription payment fails after reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately, subject to the data retention period described in Section 5.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-product notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
