About reCore

The ITAD platform we needed but couldn't find.

reCore is built by Replugit -- a team that works in IT asset disposition. We built this platform because the existing tools were either outdated, overpriced, or built for a different industry entirely. ITAD deserves purpose-built software.

Why we built reCore

Most ITAD operations run on a patchwork of spreadsheets, legacy Windows apps, and manual processes that were designed fifteen years ago. Diagnostics, data wiping, grading, and compliance reporting are handled by separate tools that do not talk to each other. Every handoff between systems is a chance for data to get lost, mismatched, or recorded incorrectly.

Compliance documentation is particularly painful. When an auditor asks for proof of data destruction, the answer should be a single export -- not three days of assembling records from different databases and hoping the serial numbers match.

reCore replaces that entire stack with one platform. Diagnostics, certified data wiping, cosmetic grading, compliance certificates, and reporting -- all producing a single, traceable record for every device that passes through your operation.

What we care about

Engineering first

We build tools for practitioners, not slide decks for investors. Every feature ships because an ITAD operator needed it.

Compliance by default

NIST SP 800-88 Rev 2, R2, e-Stewards -- compliance is not a checkbox. It is how the system works at every layer.

Honest metrics

We do not fabricate social proof or inflate numbers. What we show is what the platform actually does.

Extend the lifecycle

Every device properly diagnosed, wiped, and graded is a device that stays out of a landfill. ITAD is environmental work.

The team

Replugit is a small, focused team. We handle engineering, product, and operations ourselves. We are not venture-backed and we are not building for an exit. We are building a tool that we use in our own ITAD work and selling it to other teams who need the same thing.

That means our roadmap is driven by real operational needs, not investor pitch decks. If a feature makes it into reCore, it is because someone processing devices in a warehouse actually needed it.
