Control every device and every client from your browser
Manage your fleet of USB drives and workstations remotely. Detect resale blockers before you waste processing time. Print labels. See every device in real time across all locations.
Remote Client Management
ITAD operations deploy dozens or hundreds of USB drives and workstations. If a USB drive is lost or stolen, it becomes a security risk. There is no easy way to control which machines are authorized to run the software.
Every reCore client application -- on a USB drive, workstation, or server -- is registered, authorized, and controllable from the dashboard. You can manage everything remotely.
- Activate or deactivate any client instantly from the web dashboard
- Revoke access with one click if a USB drive is lost or stolen -- immediately blocked from logging in
- Rename and reassign clients between technicians or purposes
- Monitor activity -- see when each client was last used
- Reactivate previously revoked clients if they are recovered
- Every client gets a permanent ID that never changes, even if you rename it
Even if someone has physical possession of a reCore USB drive, they cannot use it unless it has a valid, active registration tied to your organization. Revoke it from the dashboard and it is locked out instantly, no matter where it is.
Resale Readiness Scanning
Devices that are BIOS-locked, enrolled in mobile device management, joined to another organization's cloud, or have tracking agents installed cannot be resold. Finding these issues after you have already wiped and graded the device wastes time and money.
An automated security scan runs during diagnostics and detects every blocking issue before you invest time in processing.
- BIOS password locks
- Security chip ownership
- Disk encryption (BitLocker, LUKS)
- Azure AD enrollment -- device registered to another organization
- Windows Autopilot -- auto-enrolls in another company's management
- MDM enrollment (Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, MobileIron, and others)
- Absolute/Computrace -- firmware-level tracking that persists after a wipe
- Active Directory domain membership
Each device gets one of three results:
Know before you start. Do not waste time processing a device that cannot be sold.
Built-In Label and Sticker Printing
After processing a device, you need to label it with specs, grade, and serial number. Most operations use separate label software or write labels manually.
reCore has built-in label generation with 4 label types, barcodes, QR codes, and direct printer support. No separate software needed.
| Label Type | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| ID Tag | Barcode + serial number + manufacturer and model |
| Asset Tag | QR code + serial + key specs + grade |
| Full Spec Tag | QR code + serial + all hardware specs + grade + condition |
| Condition Tag | Grade badge + per-component cosmetic grades + defect list |
Print in three sizes (small, medium, large) directly to any connected printer.
Live Visibility Across All Locations
Managers cannot see what is happening on the processing floor without walking over and checking. Status updates come through manual reports or end-of-day summaries, if they come at all.
reCore provides a live dashboard that shows every device, every test, and every wipe as it happens -- across all locations, in real time.
- Devices connecting and disconnecting, instantly reflected on screen
- Test results appearing as each test completes on a remote device
- Wipe progress with live percentage, speed, and time remaining
- Which technicians are active and what they are working on
- Overall operation stats updating continuously
- Supports 5,000+ devices per gateway instance
- No performance degradation as device count grows
- Works across multiple facilities -- one dashboard, complete visibility
